Hi Jane, Just read your query to the Rootsweb Cork list. Have you tried the Casey Collection of transcriptions of records collected from part of Co. Cork & Kerry? I have only 2 volumes, No. 7 and 11, because those include bapt. & mar. records for Inchigeelagh, my gggparents' RC parish. [Mahoney x Herlihy 1837]. I'd be happy to look up possible Colemans & Catons in those 2 volumes for you; there appear to be 8 Coleman marriages and 13 baptisms in Inchigeelagh prior to 1870, and 1 Caton baptism. The indexes might turn up a few others. Did the 1821 census give any locations within Inchigeela civil parish for the Denis Coleman & Cornelius Caton you found? As to the Flanagans, would they be from Cork also? Good luck, Barb Glassel
Barb Could you please advise where this Casey Collection is accessible in Australia. I live in Sydney and am looking for John Rea and Ellen Birmingham having married. Son James born c 1837-70.All I know is that James was born in "Cork". Not very helpful. Regards Margaret.
