Hello from Sydney, I am tracing my GGG Grandfather, James Houlahan, who was from Newmarket in County Cork. He came to Australia as a convict in 1822. In 1821 he married a woman named Margaret Stannard (Im not 100% certain of her surname) in the Catholic Church in Newmarket. Does anyone know the name of the Catholic Church in Newmarket around 1821? James had applied to have Margaret come to Australian, but the request was not granted and James remarried in 1839. I would appreciate any information or if anyone knows where I may find information on Newmarket and its history, I would love to hear from you. Kind Regards, Felicity
