Hi to all I am currently trying to put together a family of LANNIN from CORK for a lady who is not computer literate or knows much about the family, just her own family which goes back to grandmother and I am hoping some one out there my be related or can help us The family of Lannin OZ apparently split and some some stayed in Victoria and some to Western Australia which is where my friend comes into the picture. The family in question NATHANIEL LANNIN married Elizabeth JARMAN not sure if in Ireland but his kids namely Richard born c.1842 he married Grace Elizabeth Mossop 1864 Victoria George born c.1840 he married Jane Kent 1867 South Aus Susannah born c.1833 married Robert McPherson 1854 Victoria The above kids came to Victoria Australia individually. On Susannah's marriage certifcate she stated her parents were Nathaniel and Elizbabeth Lannin nee Jarman and so did her brother Richard & George but to add to the confusion we now have a Nathaniel Lannin born to William Lannin and Esther English and he states on his marriage he was born Cork !! I have tried the IGI for CORK and other counties with out success and I know that Ireland had his fire and lost a fair bit of their records but I am hoping there maybe some one on the list who can help me. Before I forget, the place of birth Susannah said was SKIBBEREEN I have never heard of this county or parish. I am a little familiar with Irish research as my own MURPHY's came from there Many thanks for anything Elaine & Carole
