    3. Birdberyl@aol.com asked: >Is anybody researching O'Keefe family in Fermoy from 1850 - 1920. In Ireland this surname is almost always spelled O'Keeffe. If you search the IrelandOldNews.com website for O'Keeffe and Fermoy, you will find results where these two words appear on the same page, though not always in the same context. For example, an Arthur O'Keeffe of Ballymahon is listed as a juror in the Fermoy Quarter sessions in January 1864. See http://www.irelandoldnews.com/Cork/1864/JAN.html#18 for this report which also includes a Roger O'Keeffe and John Ahern bringing suit against the county surveyor over repairs to the road between Tallow and Cork. And see http://www.irelandoldnews.com/Cork/1878/JUN.html#19 for a report of an O'Keeffe playing a piano solo at St. Colman's College, Fermoy. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dennis Ahern | Ireland Newspaper Abstracts Acton, Massachusetts | http://www.IrelandOldNews.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
