    3. Dear List Major breakthough - think I have identified town where the Irish side of my husband's family originated. Could anyone help with the following?: JOHN O'BRIEN BORN ABOUT 1838 CLONAKILTY, CORK PARENTS: DANIEL O'BRIEN BORN ABOUT 1811, IRELAND - (OCCUPATIONS VARYING FROM DOCK WORKER TO JOURNEYMAN DYER - some family talk of SAIL MAKER) CATHERINE BORN ABOUT 1811, IRELAND On the 1851 census for Cardiff, Glamorgan Wales, John is living with his parents and a much younger brother CHARLES BORN ABOUT 1848 IRELAND Also living with the family on this census is a JEREMIAH O'BRIEN, MARRIED, BLACKSMITH BORN ABOUT 1816 IRELAND WITH HIS SON, JOHN, MASON'S LABOURER, BORN 1839 IRELAND Is there any chance that any of these people appear on any Parish Records or have all the records been destroyed/not available?     3. Hi Julie, Below are some contacts re church records for Clonakilty. I notice from the Diocesan Website www.corkandross.org that the Clonakilty parish charges 20 Euro for each cert.
