Hello, I have come across ship passenger records for a ship, the Jane Anderson that sailed from Ireland to the US. It arrived on July 3, 1848, in New York. The steerage passengers included: Peter McCarthy, age 30, from Cork Mary McCarthy, age 18, spinster from Cork Catharine Rearden, age 19, spinster from Cork Hanora Rearden, age 18 spinster from Cork Timothy Rearden, age 17 from Cork Thomas Rearden, age 14 from Cork My Catharine Reardon/Rearden, daughter of Margaret and Denis from Co. Cork, was married to Charles Peter McCarthy, Charles Peter went by Peter. They lived in Cincinnati OH. On the 1880 US Census. A few doors down the street from the McCarthys, a Timothy Reardon lived, and next door to Tim was Patrick. Patrick had his mother-in-law living with him...Margaret! I believe that the McCarthys and Reardens on the Jane Anderson, are my people. It looks like Peter and Catharine met on the ship to the US. I am not sure, but I think they came from around Kanturk and Boherbue Cork. Does anyone have any other info on these people? Susan Marshall
