The ending looks like it might be "loghil", which is a suffix found on several townlands in Ireland......but not any in Cork, or any that are closer than Killoghil in Co. Clare. If the certificate is hand-written, perhaps one of us on the list could take a shot at it - if you could somehow let us see it (not through Rootsweb, of course). Otherwise, I don't think I can give you much help. Do you have placenames in Ireland for any of the family of John Tobin now? I might be able to browse maps for areas around such places and find something.
