I can answer 2/3 of the question: Oldcastletown is in the NE (Carhoo is to the NE of Carhoo Cross Roads, about a half-mile N of Kildorrery), and Kildorrery townland is in the SW (Meadstown is to the south, just below Kildorrery tld. and also on the W side of the R 512). The problem is in the NW. Here is what I wrote to Jan on this matter: "But the NW is a jumble of a few long, thin townlands, or pieces of townlands, and the printed names have become smudged over the copies of copies of copies which these Index maps have probably undergone since the 1840's. The Arch. Inventory books for Cork show all of the townland boundaries, but they are not named. Normally, I can compare with my TI maps and the Discovery maps and figure it out. And if an unknown townland has an archaeological site within it, I can cross-reference the site number next to the dot, back to the main section of the book - and that will tell me the townland name. Unfortunately, the bits and pieces in the NW quadrant of Kildorrery have no archaeological sites indexed, so I can't use that method, either. There is a possible way out, by carefully measuring and calculating the area of the townland(s) in question and comparing with the acreage of townlands in the parish from the Townland Listings. But I'm not about to get that fussy with this." So, I think you'd need someone with a six-inch map of that area (Co. Cork, no. 18) to be sure of the NW quadrant. I don't think I even want to guess <gr>.
