    3. Thank you Padraig. I appreciate your checking the phone book for me. I did not have a particular party in mind. Rather, because my ggrandfather Maurice Mahony was never head of household (Griffith's and Valuation records up until 1912 when he died), I assume that the townlands recorded on his children's birth certificates must have been places where Maurice lived but not as head of household. I am thinking he lived with relatives. There were many Mahonys in Leitry when Maurice lived there. I was hoping someone might still be there with that surname. I am assuming that Leitry is how the name of the townland is spelled now. Both the birth and Baptismal records used the spelling "Leitra" on each record. At least the spelling was consistent, unlike the spelling of Ceancullig, where my family also lived at one time - everything from Caencullig to Counkilla to Kancuillea.
