You say, "They may try it again." Why would Dick Eastman include the following in his newsletter if they weren't trying again? I am trying to figure out whether or not the newsletter item is accurate. He quotes the Massachusetts Genealogical Council. Is their information accurate? They tell us the bills are in the House Ways and Means Committee, and that the bills are being pushed for passage in two weeks. The first paragraph reads: "Legislative bills (H-3642, H-3643, and H-3644, petitioned by Plymouth Rep. Thomas J. O’Brien, et al.), currently pending in the Massachusetts House Ways and Means Committee, are being pushed for passage within two weeks. They will close public records that have been open for nearly 400 years as well as the indexes to them." http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2006/06/massachusetts_r.html#more Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann W" <annw659@cableone.net> To: <IRL-CORK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, June 19, 2006 8:59 PM Subject: Re: Mass.
