    2. The Genealogical Office holds all the records for previous Chief Heralds of Ireland and as such represents the only source in Ireland for information about heraldry, clans and chiefs. Now just how much work these Heralds actually did on Irish clans and chiefs is another matter but what work was done will be in the records of the Genealogical Office in Dublin, which is under the auspices of the National Library these days. And for anyone interested in the subject of Heraldry in Ireland, many if not most of the old records of the Chief Heralds of Ireland are filmed and available at a FHC (Morman church) near you.
