    3. Yes, Dennis, these 'overlap' registration districts can be a problem - if one finds a 'Joe Doe' in Kilmallock, Co.Limerick registration district, one has no way of knowing at the index information level whether he was born, died, or married in few E.R. Co.Cork townlands covered by Kilmallock registration District; likewise in the case of the Mitchelstown, Co.Cork registration district, one has no way, again, at the index level, if he was born, died or married in Co. Limerick. The solution to these anomalies is, of course, the expense of getting the FULL detail record to find that he was not born. died, or married in Co.Cork, but in Co.Limerick. I see no other solution to it. Fortunately the number of townlands of the other county in such overlapped registration districts is small. **** Reply to the LIST ONLY - Please ***** ***** Thanks for your consideration ***** Pádraig Mór, An Sean Gabhar ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dennis Ahern" <ahern@world.std.com> To: <irl-cork@rootsweb.com> Cc: <CountyCork-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 8:19 AM Subject: Re: Nellie SULLIVAN > > padraigogealagain@rogers.com advised: > >>Yes, go to the LDS Family History Centre nearest you, and check the >>records of civil births - Ireland for the years concerned.
