I am looking for our DENNIS McCOY family born in Ireland. I have found PATRICK McCOY, born cir 1827 in Kilobane,Cork,Ireland, who I believe is the brother of Dennis. I have also found a JOHN McCOY, born cir 1782 from Kanturk, Cork, Ireland, who could possibly be their father. My DENNIS McCOY was born close to the time of Patrick. Dennis was a sailor until his marriage to HANNAH GALLAGHER cir 1845. Can anyone tell me where Kilobane, and Kanturk are, and where should I start getting records. I would appreciate any help.
