Can anyone help? This may sound like a silly request but, through Friends Reunited, etc, I have located someone who is the grand-daughter of my grandfather's brother, so can anyone advise me what our relationship is? We have a massive family reunion planned for May (she's coming to the UK from Florida, where she now lives) and I would love to "blind her with science"! Incidentally, our grandfathers originated from Cork. Thanks for any help. Sheila Bransfield
Hello, Sheila, The granddaughter of your grandfather's brother is your second cousin. If she has children, they are your second cousins once removed .
