Hi again Helen - I see that Mallow has the records of one of the parishes mentioned in the Griffiths (Castletownroache from 1811) but does not seem to mention Ballyhooley, although this might come under Fermoy. Ballyhooley is not mentioned in Grenham's list of available Cork East RC records and Fermoy begins around 1827, which is rather unhelpful for you. It just might be worth the cost of getting Mallow HC to check for the births given that you know the parents? Sorry this is not more helpful - another clue would certainly be useful for you. I believe Ballyhooly records are in the RC parish of Castletownroche (home of my grandparents John Mehigan and Elizabeth Bushe) so Mallow HC should have those records. Bob Meehan
