    2. Chris, Where in the US did James & Patrick emigrate to? Was it a typo when you stated that they emigrated from Queensland, Australia or did you mean Queenstown. The biggest emigration port 1860/1870 in the world was Liverpool, a lot of ships sailed from Liverpool and stopped off in Queenstown. As a rule of thumb most of the people who emigrated through Queenstown came from the southern counties in Ireland. 3. Hi Brendan Thank you for clearing that up for me. When I posted the article I did meant to change that and must of slipped my mine. Sailed- LIverpool- Queenstown, Ireland. Then to New York. Joseph ( born 1868 settled in Camden, NJ area , where my grandfather and eventually father was born. Sad to say all my relatives that may of known something passed on, I have tried to connect with distant cousins with no response, guess they are uncomfortable responding with a stranger. My new thing ( last 10 years or so) when I attend viewings, weddings, funerals, I take a family sheet, with a stamped self addressed envelope, most of them do get returned with the information, that has helped some of my research along. Hopefully now I can narrow my search down to the Southern part, I have a gut feeling and have had that Cork was in my head, not really sure why so yesterday I subscribed to a few list hoping for some help or connections.
