    3. Hi Jackie - these are the reference numbers for the microfilms at the National Library of Ireland (NLI) in Dublin. You need the POS (I think it means Positive but not sure on that) numbers to order the films which can then be viewed on the readers there. John Grenham has provided extensive information on this and on what is available both online and offline in his books 'Tracing Your Irish Ancestors'. The records are not online - and in most cases, not likely to be. The NLI has had a running battle with some parts of the church over even the holding of their records but it is still possible to view them in person at the Library. Hope this makes sense.
