    3. My relatives also immigrated through Cobh (Queenstown) via Liverpool but came from Kerry - Fitzgerald is very common in Kerry and in Cork. You could use the Griffiths Land Valuation taken in the mid 19th century to narrow the areas but it would probably have too many in both counties. If you know the McLaughlin's parents you might check and see if someone of that name is listed. Have you exhausted other sources i.e. obituaries - which might give you some clues. Don't ignore exploring siblings and other close relatives obits for clues also. Good luck!
