    2. I too have some Cork relatives who are said to have gone to Australia, all early in the 20th century. The family stories were a bit vague, but one great-aunt went to visit them in the 1930s, I believe (she told my mother about it). The names are Michael, Jeremiah, Thomas and Denis Connolly, brothers from Knockskagh. Thomas seems the most likely, but the others are unaccounted for as well. Their youngest brother John was my grandfather, but I never knew him. Sheila Connolly Middleboro, MA **************Need a job? Find employment help in your area. 3. Knockskagh is near Mountain Common, Ardfield. This is a few miles south of Clonakilty, County Cork. My mother's father was from Mountain Common . As far as I know Connolly's still live around there. Google turned up the following CONNOLLY From: Knockskagh, near Leap, Co. Cork Date: 27 Mar 1999 Time: 09:19:42 Comments I'm trying to sort out what happened to all the siblings of my grandfather John Connolly, who emigrated to New York in 1907. Sibs were Michael, Catherine, Mary, Jeremiah, Ellen, Thomas, Patrick, Julia and Denis. Ellen and Julia also emigrated. Some were said to have gone to Australia. I think Patrick took over the family farm.
