    3. If you were to give me some of what you have, I could look at it I frequently travel through the Dunmanway area -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of robert inman Sent: 11 April 2009 04:45 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Sam Maguire Dear Mr. Crowley. Thank you for your very informative reply. It was much appreciated! I also thank you for your offer to look for details of Sam Maguire's family. I do not know if he is related to my Maguire ancestors, but he seems to come from the same area as they did. I have been trying to trace my Maguire line for nearing 25 years with only some success in the last several months. It might be a long shot, but I thought that perhaps Sam Maguire just might be a relative! Again, my thanks and I will await your info that you find. 3. Dear Mr Crowley. Thank you so much for your kind reply to my query. I apologize for not replying sooner-Easter and the flu occurred! My Maguires seem to have been from Mayo. I do not know where unfortunately. They seemed to pass through Cork but again, I do not know just how long they stayed. They seem to be in Durham, England by 1861. James Maguire (McQuire) b. 1839 poss Mayo married a Julia Ann Quin born and baptized 1844 in County Cork. Julia Ann had a sister born and baptized in Co. Cork. in 1843. Their father? Quin and their mother was Julia Quin b. abt 1825 and baptized 1826 Co. Cork. This is my only sure connection to Cork so far. However, the family lore was always that the Maguires came from Cork. This has been a 25 year mystery for me. I thought that by trying someone of a similiar name, might lead to a connection or a lead. Otherwise, I have hit that "brick wall".. I look forward to your reply. I truly appreciate your offer to help me! Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly accepted.
