Someone said, a few days ago,that the above person(RICHARD BOYLE) was not related to RICHARD BOYLE, Earl of Cork. I found this in "THE CONCISE ENCYCLOPAEDIA of REVOLUTIONS AND WARS of ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND" by Stephen Manganiella........ RICHARD BOYLE born 1563 was the elder brother of MICHAEL BOYLE,BISHOP of WATERFORD. Through the influence of his kinsman (cousin) RICHARD BOYLE, 1st earl of Cork, he passed through a series of offices and appointments to become Bishop of Cork, Clune and Ross, then advanced to see of TUAM on May 30 1638.He left 2 sons and 9 dtrs.
