Hi Judie, These are the "disconnected" DAUNTS that I have floating through my tree; Rev Achilles DAUNT who was born 20 October 1714 at Fahalea, Co Cork & married in 1747 to Frances FRENCH, daughter of Alderman Philip FRENCH & Penelope TOWNSEND [She is the daughter of Elizabeth BECHER & Captain Horatio TOWNSEND] Anne DAUNT who married in 1771 to John Becher HUNGERFORD. He was the son of Richard HUNGERFORD [son of Thomas HUNGERFORD & Susannah BECHER] & Mary Cranfield BECHER [dau of John BECHER [my 6 x G Grandfather] & Mary CRANFIELD. Their son Henry HUNGERFORD married Johanna DAUNT.... Thomas HUNGERFORD [died in 1849] , son of Thomas HUNGERFORD [son of Richard HUNGERFIELD & Mary Cranford BECHER same as above] and Mary Cranfield BECHER [not the same one! daughter of George BECHER & Ann GIBBS] married [1] in 1812 Joanna Knolles Daunt [died 1825] they had three children, including Elizabeth "Bessie" Charlotte HUNGERFORD who married 5 Jun 1845 to Richard "O'Donovan BECHER. Thomas H then married in 1823 to Elizabeth DAUNT & had 5 more children... George DAUNT married Martha TURNER. She was the daughter of Henry TURNER & Dorothy BOYLE. Dorothy was the daughter of Dr Richard BOYLE [Archbishop of Tuam] & Martha Wright White. Mildred DAUNT [1747-1805] married 29 Sept 1772 to Richard TOWNSEND [died 8 April 1805]. Rev Thomas DAUNT married Maria Margaret TOWNSEND. she was the daughter of Richard TOWNSEND [1684-1742] and Mary SYNGE No known link to THE Boyles, apart from trading ones! Henry BECHER sold his town of Bandon to the Earl of Cork.
