Thank you to all who replied to my enquiry, to Sharon and David, and I will try to get hold of Brian Mitchell's book, and also to Sheila and Murray in Christchurch who is doing some seriously sterling work!! I am sure that many people will have good reason to thank him and his helpers. When I first began to look into my father's family in Cork, I could not understand how they appeared to be in three different parishes - until I got the copy of the Griffith's Valuation map from the Valuation Office in Dublin and realised that they had lived just where three parishes met!! If I had had any sense, I should have been able to work that one out for myself...... Mary
