Hi George, My ggrandmother's maiden name was Curry. She married John Guinane, I believe, in County Clare, probably around 1850's. I have not pursued the name Curry because I don't know where she might have been from and it is hard to search for women in the 1840 - 1860 time period. They stayed in Ireland but my granfather, also John Guinane emigrated to New York State and married Ellen Hourihan, who was from County Cork. There were other Currys here in the Southern Tier of NYS and I imagine that was one of the reasons they came here. Do you know if your Curry came to the States? Or any dates?
