Ellen Margaret MURPHY married John CARROLL, probably in West Cork area, around 1820. There were at least 3 sons and a daughter from that marriage - John (1821), Maurice (abt 1825), Eliza (abt 1827) and Myles (1831). It is assumed John Carroll Sr. died abt 1830/31 and Ellen then married Henry MORGAN abt 1831. At least two more sons came from the second marriage- Thomas and Henry MORGAN (1832 & 1836) Four of Ellen's sons are known to have traveled to Australia. John CARROLL was transported to Australia on the HYDERABAD in 1849. After he served his time in Tasmania, he moved to Kyneton in Victoria in the early 1850's and ran a grocery store. In the mid 1850's, he was joined in Kyneton by his half brothers Thomas & Henry MORGAN who farmed nearby in Barfold and Emberton. Myles CARROLL is believed to have married and been widowed in Ireland. He traveled to Australia in 1864 and also farmed in the same area as his half-brothers. Researching and looking for any connections - thank you Pat Morgan - sunny Tucson, AZ
