CARMODY origin in Clare,not sure where...possibly Ennis, Kilrush or Tulla areas, Patrick , Denis or John. Left Clare and found in Cork near Kilbrin area, in 1820-70. A Patrick Carmody b 1845 Kilbrin, Cork went to Middlesex area England about 1870 for work, stay at relatives, Denis & Johanna Carmody in Harlington and Bethnal Green areas. worked with cousins(??) Patrick, John and or/either Denis the sons of Denis and Johanna. Patrick and young Denis stayed in Middlesex as bachelors, John came to Us in 1888-9,joined US Army 1895-1901, married a Nora Mulcahy* Sullivan. She was widow with 3 children. Nora came from Kanturk, Cork, daughter of Margaret Ring and Denis Mulcahy Looking for any info on Carmody, Mulcahy, Ring or Cronins who may be related.
