    3. Hi Barb, I too found who I think is my Gr Grandfather Joseph Doherty on the IGI part of family search. He is registered only as "male" Doherty but birth year is right on , area is right on, fathers name Thomas right on, but because I still can`t prove his mother was Anne Joyce, (the mother listed on his birth record) none of it will qualify as proof, right? For that reason, I haven`t sent away for a copy of that birth record. His two siblings were given first names when registered. I know that if a child wasn`t expected to live for long, at time of birth, they sometimes weren`t named. So thats my two bits worth.
