Priscilla asks: === The place she has is District of White Church, Cork. She also saw Knockahoyan. She isn't sure of the spelling. What or where is this? Also she thinks they lived on Factory Road. Does anyone have any hints for us? === Priscilla, Not much more than a hint, so far. Whitechurch is a small town/village (and civil parish) located 4 miles NNE of Blarney town and 6 miles NNW of the center of Cork City. The civil parish of Whitechurch is part of the RC parish of Blarney. There are a couple of Knock-xxxx townlands in the parish, but nothing resembling Knockahoyan. The use of the term "District" probably means one of the various Dispensary/Registrar's Districts - but others will have to advise you about that. In any case, I'll keep looking. I don't have a clue about Factory Road. The name would seem to imply a location in or near a town - perhaps Blarney. I'll do some more browsing. If you have any other hints, let me know.
