Cornelius Callaghan's records indicate his birth abt 1823 in Glantane (Glountane), Kilshannig, Nr Mallow. Cornelius left Mallow in 1846 and returned with wife Elizabeth (nee Kennedy) and children to live first in Spa Walk, Mallow in 1870 and afterwards to "the Cortigans House" in Ballydaheen (Balydahin) over the bridge from Mallow town. Cornelius and Elizabeth had their last three children in Mallow - 1st Cornelius b 1870 Mallow, 2nd Margaret Ellen b 1872 Mallow and a 3rd child Edward James b 1874 in also in Mallow. Their father, Cornelius Callaghan died in Ballydaheen (Balydahin) in 1873 before his last son Edward was born. I am trying to find Cornelius's family from Glantane, Kilshannig.
