The Doneraile monument in St.Patricks Cathedral, Dublin is a tribute to Margaret Boyle who opened the 1st maternity hospital on the south side of Dublin. The Coombe lying-in hospital was opened after a lady in labour slipped in the snow trying to reach the Rotunda hosp. on the north side. The 1st Coombe was on the Coombe at the end of Meath street in Dublin 8. The original gate + entrance is still preserved there. The new Coombe is up the road in Cork Street. D.8 Maggie the Dub
