Kaz, Forgot to mention I did a search looking for birth registration for Margaret Hayes born about 1875 (1901 census shows her to be 26).  There are 5 results for 1874 in Cork, Ireland;  2 for 1875; 1 for 1876.  Some results list parents names and  some do not. When I refined the search (used an advanced search) and entered the father as Daniel Hayes, I got 2 results; 1 for 10 April 1873 and 1 for 30 April 1864.  But the mothers's name were not Bridget MaGill. I then entered the mother's name as Bridget MaGill and got 2 good results.
