Beth, Here's the website I used to help Kaz, LDS Familysearch  http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=home I did a search for a marriage of Denis Canavan to a Bridget in Cork, Ireland got 0 results. I did a search for a birth / baptism of a David Canavan born about 1824 the son of Denis Canavan & Bridget and got 0 results. I did a search for a Denis Canavan son of Denis Canavan & I got 3 results all for the same person for 11 May 1868.  The mother is listed as a Mary Anne Murphy.  Could this be the Denis Canavan brother to David?
