    2. Who maintains http://www.irelandoldnews.com ? I couldn't find any way to add things myself. Is our friend Dennis Ahern involved? And are his contributions on rootsweb GENIRE merged here? It would take a long time to search the rootsweb archives for specific newspapers. When I was in Cork in 2009, I realized that having the newspapers on line would be one of the best resources for any of us who had ancestors who were not even wealthy but literate and doing things, like teaching music, for instance, that got written up in the papers. It took me about an hour to read two months of a Cork newspaper on very old, poorly functioning microfilm readers at the public library (not their fault as there is just not money for this sort of thing). But given what the Canadians recently managed to do with the Irish 1901 and 1911 census, I wondered if there were any plans for newspapers. Anything already on film can be digitized very easily. And if I knew where to send it, I would type up three small stories for the newspaper project. Elizabeth W. Knowlton 3 great granddaughter of William Winspeare Rogers McCarty b 1805, Cork City

    3. Some already online here: http://www.irishnewsarchive.com/ It is a pay site and does not have all newspapers on it, but I have used it with very good results.
