    3. Hi Sandra, Would that be St James Cathedral in Melbourne? If so, my 3 X Great Grandfather Rev Michael Henry Becher was incumbent there from 1861 to 1883, so they would have known each other. >From Jenny, Sydney, Australia My Family History Website http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~becher/index.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "SandyY" <sandyyd@tpg.com.au> To: "Dennis Ahern" <ahern@world.std.com> Cc: "TG Wilkinson" <tgwilkinson@hotmail.com>; <irl-cork@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 05, 2010 7:59 AM Subject: Re: Cork Examiner Archives > Hello Dennis > > Thank you so much for these transcripts - I am in the middle of breaking > down one of my biggest brick walls! 3. Hi Jenny No, apparently he was brought over to be the Music Director for St Patrick's RC Cathedral, however it was knocked down to make way for a larger building, so he was the organist for St Francis' Cathedral instead, until his death in 1864. (Hmmmmm - I have just found two children of his married at St Mary's, Kilda by the Very Revd Dr Corbett in 1886. My James' children were baptised Ch of Ireland, so this requires a bit more investigation on my part.) Regards Sandra Jenny Stiles wrote: > Hi Sandra, > Would that be St James Cathedral in Melbourne?
