    3. Hello John, I've been thru my records (which are from around Skibbereen and Baltimore only] and I don't have anything on these Coffeys or Ellen McCarthy. Coffey is not a surname I'm researching, although I've seen it in this area of County Cork. McCarthy is a surname I'm researching, but don't have anything for an Ellen McCarthy from 18180 to 1835. Wish I wish I could have helped you as you've been so helpful to me in the past. The immigration records state that John was a teacher and both he and Ellen's mother were dead when she immigrated to Australia in 1857. Ellen Coffey's last place of employment was stated as Kinsale. I have tried for many years to determine as to where my g.g.grandmother was from without any luck. Any help you may be able to give to me would be greatly appreciated. 3. Thank you Barbara, It was worth a try. Ten years in searching and I still haven't found what I am after. I will keep trying , but I am doubtful if I will find any further information.
