G'day from Sydney AUS, I have found ancestors from 1837+ near Ederney FER, but I know of earlier McGrorys who came from Pettigo & wonder if they would be connected. AUS 1838 dep California Goldfields c1850 Alexander bc1818 mar. in AUS Sarah bc1825 mar. McGee arr. AUS 1859. I have more on these families. Family 2 came from Pettigo. The info I was given: Bernard McGrory mar. Catherine McQueen. Known issue: Arthur b17 Jul 1795 Lough Erne Pettigo. mar. Elizabeth Anderson at Pettigo. Issue of Arthur & Margaret all born Pettigo: Mary b1819, mar. John McGoldrick & may have had a child bap. at Ederney. Catherine b1825 Bernard b1829 Arthur b1832 Elizabeth b1835 Isabella b 1838 Ellen b 1840 Robert Joseph b 1844 They all arrived in AUS in 1852.
