    3. I am new to this mail list and have not done any research in Ireland. I know nothing about the BMD index for Ireland. I am also unsure which county my research should be. I am starting with Glenties, Donegal, Ireland. The reason is the person I am searching for father was from their and she was married in Canada by the time she was 23, whice does not leave a very big time frame between birth and marriage. Not the best reason but I have got to start some where. Is there anyone willing to provide me with info on the BMD index in less that 10,000 words? Anyone on the mail list have any Abercrombie's in your data base? Here is all I know about the person I am researching. She is the wife of my first cousin, twice removed. All data I have on her shows her given name as "CHERRY", surname ABERCROMBIE, not a common given name. I found her in a 1920 census age 55 which would make her born 1865 +/- 2 years. Her father was Alexander ABERCROMBIE from Glenties, Donegal, Ireland. I can not find any mention of her before her marriage in Canada in 1888, but she is shown born in Ireland on censuses. I don't know if she came through the US to Canada or directly to Canada. I do know her parents were both born in Ireland. No idea when father died. Mother Jane (Elliott) ABERCROMBIE from Ireland died in 1909 in Canada. I know this is asking a lot, whereever I am provided will help me direct my search area. Thank You John in California

    3. I have a Jane Elliott, born Donegal 1835. Parents were James Elliott and Nancy/Ann Clark. Do you know where in Canada your Jane Elliott Abercrombie died ? We could search for a death certificate, which should give parents names.
