I flew from Montreal to London, visited parts of England and Wales and went across by ferry into Dublin. Such a beautiful site to see from the water! I took the train to the end of the line, Sligo, and they have this magnificent old hotel right there next to the train station. It has big oak staircases and stairways that go this way and that way. Charming place and not too expensive. We stayed the night and took the bus from there. The scenery was breathtaking. In 95 there were no cabs in a lot of small towns so I asked a gas station attendant to drive me around.
