My great grandmother was Nancy (actually Anna) O'Donnell. She was from Inishfree Island but married Patrick Gallagher from Burtonport around 1875. Her sister Nora married Patrick's brother Charles, and they settled in Burtonport. The latter had a daughter Nora who maried a Frank O'Donnell, but I don't know of a James. Nancy also had a brother John O'Donnell who had a son Anthony, but I think he settled in Dungloe. My cousin got a lot of info about our family from a Jimmy Frank O'Donnell in Butonport in the 1950's, but he was in his 80's then. You know there's a Jimmy O'Donnell who runs O'Donnells Pub in Burtonport now. You might write to him. My other thought would be to write to Patrick Campbell, who grew up in the area and has researched and written several books (Memories of Dungloe, Death In Templecrone).
