Hi, I am new at this list. I found my grandfather on a ships list and do not understand it. It reads, Sweeney Michael, Croghan, near Tamney, Co. Donegal. Would like to where Croghan and Tamney is. I looked on a map and do not find it. Your help is appreciated. Mike

Hi Mike Look up the URL http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~bhilchey/MClondavaddog.html to find the RC parish of Clondavaddog (Tamney) with the townland of Croaghan Use http://www.multimap.com/ to find Tamney on the shores of Mulroy Bay. If you buy a copy of Discovery Map Sheet 2 from www.elstead.co.uk you should be able to spot Croaghan.
