In defense of Pat, I've gone to the website she notified us about this past week, and did find look-up volunteers posted at a the end of some of the reference materials. I'm sure not all books she recommends on the site have volunteers. I know, because I have one of the books on the list that doesn't have a look-up volunteer posted. (This particular book is not indexed, and one must read page by page to find names in each place -- a very time-consuming process.) That doesn't mean she's promoting the books for any other reason than letting the rest of us know that we might find a clue or two if we had access to the books ourselves.
