Hi Folks I am very interested in the Gallaghers in Donegal. I am researching the family of Dave (David) Gallagher (Gallaher as it became in New Zealand) who came from the Ramelton area before his immediate family migrated to NZ. He became captain of the first NZ All Blacks team that toured UK in 1905-06. His relations in NZ are also researching the family and one especially, Kay Carter, has done a lot of excellent work on the family. I am at the University of Ulster in Belfast but am in NZ temporarily until early January and could look up my records then. Dave's father married a Maria/Mary McLoskey.
