Do you know where in Donegal? Have you done any looking yet or are you knew to researching in Donegal. I know of some Drummonds from a farm near Ballyshannon. I think they are all dead now but maybe other families in the area. I met them in 1994. Judy McKeon.

Judith, Very many thanks for the reply. I have searched extensively in Scotland and have had a great time visiting various sites mostly in and around Glasgow. As you will probably know Drummond is a Scottish name and they are predominately of protestant descent, my family are catholic so this is unusual and has helped me rule people in or out quite quickly. My search has come to a shuddering halt as the main four streams of my family are all of Irish descent. The names are: Drummond O'Neill McMullen Kelly I am only really interested in the Drummond stream at the moment. The only real information that I have is from the 1891 census in Glasgow that states my GG Grandfather (Patrick Drummond) was born in Donegal and was a shoemaker, his father was listed as William Drummond on Patrick's marriage certificate but I now think that he may have been Patrick William or William Patrick. I suspect that he too is from Donegal but I do not have any supporting information. I am very much at the start of my Irish search and would appreciate any help or advice that you could give me.
