Hello from Aus My paternal line has been tracked to Ballynamen, Donegal c 1800 and one day I hope to visit just to stand on the spot. However, I am puzzled that the name HARDY doesn't seem to rate a mention as an Donegal/Irish name. Can SKS explain if this is a traditional Irish name or is it likely that the Hardy's were part of the "plantation" of King James 1.I have read this much! It is probably obvious that I am a novice. Thanks for your help. Tracey - Australia.
