    3. Hi Sean. The index to the 1901 census has a household in Lettermakenny, Stranorlar parish, consisting of James and Anne O'Donnell, with Mary, Johnny, Anne, Bridget, Catherine and Maggie - in 1911 their household consisted of Anne O'Donnell with John, Mary, Maggie and Thomas and James Crumlish. The 1901 census for Gortletteragh, Stranorlar parish, has the only Roan family - Michael and Margaret Roane, with Francis, Ellen, Agnes and Maggie. In 1911 their household consisted of Michael and Margaret Roan, with Francis and Kate. It looks like these are the families you are after. If you have a look at the full census for those townlands, you will get the ages and relationships for those people - the 1911 census will tell you how long a couple had been married as well. The census is on microfilm and can be ordered in and viewed through an LDS Family History Centre. Once you get those details, you will have a fairly good idea of the ages of everyone and when they married - that will make things easier as far as getting marriage and birth certs - you should be able to get them as far back as the marriages of the parents of Catherine and Francis - as long as it was after 1864, when civil registration started. Good luck with your research!
