Google Earth 4.3 at the URL http://earth.google.com/ now provides astonishing closeups of parts of Ireland. Derry City and aspects of the adjoining County Donegal are included as is Donegal City, Coleraine, Ballycastle and Belfast together with all the other major towns and cities of Ireland. Unfortunately, really important places, like Ballymena and St Johnston are not yet included. I can now clearly see the field farmed by my great grandfather William McSheffrey in the 1850s, North East of Birdstown Demesne (OS Map 1:50,000), 55 Deg.04'23.83N and 7Deg.21'21.87 W.
