Thanks to Laurie & Loretta, The only listing for Derry in the Transcriber's Guild is 1896 SS Hibernian 3 June, so there is no help there. Castle Garden records were too late as to coming into NY... Any other suggestions for : gggg... grands who came to US back in the = late 1700's. We know they were from Donegal but don't know if it is = meant to be just the county or the town. What would have been the most likely port they would have left by to = come to and settled in Pennsylvania? We have 3 brothers who came here by = the name of Maxwell, David, Moses and Ukn. David is my grand on back and was mar. to wife, Margaret when they all = came to US. We believe that they had two sons b.in Ire / or not... so = anywhere between 1792 - 1808 would be the time frame for arrival... If anyone has further thoughts on this then add to it where people = most likely would have sailed from coming from Straubane in Co. Tyrone = :-) I'm trying for a double hit here.
