Jackie, I have never been quite sure who you mean by the Raphoe Archivist. Does Father McGettigan not have access to the records himself? And are these years missing in the sense of stolen or why are such recent records not in the church like they are in every other local church? If they are not in the church, then how could they be with Donegal Ancestry which collected its database directly from the local churches not that long ago? And if there are no records at all in Raphoe, why are they not in PRONI? Or is it only these years which are missing? Or am I missing something? Anyway, whatever, I believe I did offer to go to Raphoe and ask directly, as I became quite fascinated by your musical family when we corresponded last year. The offer still holds. Help please. Hello Listers, Does anyone know where the records are held of the baptisms 1925 to 1934 of St Eunan's Church Raphoe? I've writen to the Raphoe Archivist and been informed that they do not hold the records, they have suggested trying Donegal Ancestry but I'm told that they are very expensive to commission. Kindest regards Jackie. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to IRL-CO-DONEGAL-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
