Hi Christina Many thanks for that information and the LDS film numbers, however I've not been able to find the mother's name or siblings of my John Lynch who left Kilrush in 1848 or just prior to that although I've been searching for over 20 years. I was hoping there was some records prior to 1856. I've found Patrick Lynch's [the name of John's father] in Kilrush town [Griffiths & Tithe's] which is where I believe John came from as his army record stated Kilrush, Kilrush, Co Clare which I've taken to be the town of Kilrush, in Kilrush Co Clare. There was also a Patrick Lynch in Moanmore South and North. Cheers and thanks again for such a quick reply.
