Listers, My wife's great grandfather, John Torpey, came from County Cork and settled in Chicago. I do know that the maiden named of the woman he married and later divorced was Donoghue - no forename is known at this time. That is basically all the information I have on him. I do not have any dates of birth or time when he emigrated. I know this is very limited information, to say the least. The woman he married left him and the children. John then left his relatives to raise them. He had 3 sons and 1 daughter - Tim, Joe, Will and Sarah (Sadie) Torpey. I am wondering if there is any connection to my wife's great grandfather.
